The IEEE International Conference on
Consumer Electronics (ICCE) is soliciting technical papers
for oral and poster presentation at ICCE 2011. Note that only
a 2-page IEEE format abstract is required by the initial submission
deadline of July 31st. Full papers should then be submitted
by January 15th and the best will be published in the IEEE
Transactions on Consumer Electronics. Now in its 29th year,
ICCE has a strong conference history coupled with a tradition
of attracting leading authors and delegates from around the
world. Papers reporting new developments in all areas of consumer
electronics are invited, including but not limited to those
listed below. This year, papers relating to The Future
of Digital Media are particularly sought for a special
session on this topic.
Sunday-Start: For ICCE 2011 we are moving the start
of ICCE forwards to being on the Sunday immediately following
CES. The Sunday program will feature our Conference Keynote
and a Review of CES by a number of IEEE technical experts
followed by a panel discussion. In addition a number of highly
topical invited sessions will feature throughout the
day on Sunday. A discounted conference rate is available for
Sunday-only delegates.
Additional Conference Sessions: ICCE has always prided
itself on covering a broad spectrum of research activity relevant
to Consumer Electronics. ICCE 2011 will incorporate 5 parallel
conference sessions allowing coverage of even more topics
of current interest to the CE professional.
Tutorials: are scheduled during
the Conference. Brief proposals should be submitted by June
1st, to Atul Batra at abatra@marvell.com.
Proposals must include title, abstract, detailed outline,
as well as bio and contact information for the presenter.
Social Activities: in addition
to a Welcome Reception on Sunday evening and our conference
lunches which include presentation of the Ibuka award,
there will be organized shopping trips and an end-of-conference
visit to the Hoover Dam.

ASSOCIATED
SESSIONS |
|
| |
A
selection of the best papers from ICCE are published each
year in the IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics. This
year as the IEEE Consumer Electronic Society has become a
co-sponsor of a number of new IEEE Journals we are running
associated sessions with the IEEE Transactions on Haptics,
The IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, and the IEEE/OSA
Journal of Display Technology. Full papers submitted to ICCE
for these sessions will be published in the relevant journals
subject to the normal peer review process and editorial discretion.
IEEE/OSA Journal of Display Technology -
(i) 3D Display Technologies;
(ii) Low Power/Energy-Efficient Displays;
(iii) Emerging Display Technologies (micro-projectors,
ebook displays)
IEEE Transactions on Haptics -
(i) Enabling technologies for Haptic CE devices;
(ii) Application of Haptics in CE Systems & Devices
IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing -
(i) Enabling technologies for Affective UI in
CE Devices;
(ii) Application of affective methods and workflows
in CE Systems & Devices

Please note that unsolicited papers submitted to Invited
or Associated Sessions must still follow the normal
peer-review process. When submitting such papers please mark/note
that your paper is intended for a particular session but also
include a second choice. If you have been solicited by a member
of the ICCE TPC or Executive Committee to submit a paper please
mark it explicitly as "invited".
