Congratulations on having your paper accepted for presentation in the Poster Session category at the 2011 International Conference on Consumer Electronics in Las Vegas.

Please read carefully the instructions for Poster Session authors outlined below. When making up your poster, please remember that your message must be legible and clearly stated.

 

  • Each author will be provided a 4x8-foot poster board for display purposes and a table. Electricity will not be provided. Authors are responsible for the set up and tear down of their printed material. Please remove your poster at the end of the session and prepare your equipment for shipment. Any visual aids which might clarify the results of your own work are encouraged. These can include diagrams, charts, figures, illustrations, etc. Note that graphics should be simple, colorful, well-labeled, and clear. The title should be written in letters 2 to 5 cm high, and all material should be readable from a distance of 2 m. Demonstrations, if applicable, are highly encouraged. The session chairmen will be there to show you to your poster board. Each poster will be provided with a printed number corresponding to your assigned session number (i.e. P1.01). At least one author must be present the entire session to explain your work and answer questions. A major advantage of this type of presentation is interchange between conference attendees and authors.
  • Avoid putting too much material on the poster.
  • Each of the sections should be numbered in sequence with 1- or 2-inch high numbers to guide the reader through your poster presentation.
  • Authors must provide their own background material. Avoid color combinations that are difficult to read.
  • The background should contain 3 to 5 brief sentences outlining information necessary to understand the paper and why the work was done.
  • The central topic of the presentation should be clearly stated in as few words as possible.
  • Outline your work briefly. Provide details only for the highlights of your work.
  • You also may want to provide an interpretation of the results below each panel.
  • The conclusions should be stated briefly in large type. Many viewers read this first, hence it should be easy to understand.
  • The design of an effective poster is a rigorous test of your ability to communicate your work. A good poster requires considerable effort and attention to detail


    Poster sessions will be scheduled for display and presentation
    simultaneously with other ongoing sessions    .
