Firstly
I'm very happy to let you know that despite the weak economy
our submission were up nearly 50% on last year. This gave
us a great opportunity and I'm now in a position to let
you know that we have more than 75 regular and invited speakers
sessions over the four days of ICCE.
We've also got an exciting range of keynote speakers - more
than 10 leading technical and industry experts representing
many varied aspects of the CE industry. Every day we'll
have a morning and a lunch-time keynote address. We also
have many invited sessions and tutorials running throughout
the conference - these are selected by industry experts
from our TPC to be of strong current interest to the CE
Community. This year we feature "Smart-Grid", "Interactive-TV",
"Co-operatinve Driving", "HD Interconnects" and "3D Codecs"
among others.
We've also got some exciting social events - in particular
our Tuesday night-out will take us to the Strip for a genuine
Vegas Dinner-Show! Be sure to grab a ticket when your are
registering as we have limited places and our conference
will have a record number of attendees this year!
Finally, I have to thank all the people who helped put this
brilliant conference program together: the ICCE executive
committee, the track chairs, the reviewers, my tech chair,
Stefan Mozar and most importantly our conference administrator,
Charlotte Kobert. Every one of you have helped make ICCE
2011 tale shape and I would like to offer you my sincerest
thanks for all your efforts. You represent the best of what
IEEE volunteering is about and I hope that it has been as
rewarding an experience for you as for myself.
Sincerely,
Peter Corcoran,
Conference Chair ICCE 2011
