Hi All,

This is Peter Corcoran, past chair of ICCE 2011 and helping out with this years ICCE.
Firstly, I'd like to remind you that this is our 30th Anniversary for ICCE, one I noted this week that we share with the MS-DOS operating system! Yes, believe it or not ICCE has been in business as long as Microsoft!

In fact we've outlasted Bill Gates and we have no intention of going into

retirement any time soon!

Last year's conference was the biggest ICCE for nearly a decade and we expect to grow even further this
year!
Now, the good news , you've still got a few days left to submit a 2-page abstract to ICCE 2012. No full paper is required at this stage, only an extended abstract in 2-page format.
Then there is the even better news - ICCE is co-located with CES 2012 in Las Vegas so you can kill two birds with one trip - get to the biggest
Consumer Electronics Show in the world and follow up with presenting your latest research at the IEEE InternationalConference on Consumer Electronics.
Finally, the best news of all - January in Las Vegas is a great time to catch the January sales, and believe me in Las Vegas you get discounts like no-where else in the World! Last year I went on a post conference shopping spree with a good friend of mine in the Las Vegas Outlet Stores(2) and found incredible bargains - up to 85% discounts on top designer brands(1)! I bought a new suitcase and packed it with (designer) clothes for the year - my wife was in shock for weeks after
as I normally hate shopping for clothes. (Note that I only figured out that the January sales were on after ICCE last year, and I've been going to ICCE for nearly 15 years! How come no-one else ever shared this
nugget!) So getting to Las Vegas for ICCE actually gets 3 birds in a single trip - CES, ICCE and Jan Sales! And believe me Vegas does them like nowhere else ;-)
So get those abstracts in quickly so you can justify that travel budget!
Regards to all and see you in Las Vegas!

(1) Most stores were 70% discounted; I was buying branded shirts for $15 that I had paid 50 Euro for the same brand in Ireland (also a sales price!), just prior to the conference.
(2) This is where I went; its a $20 cab ride from ICCE; I have no affiliation with these guys, it just happens to be one of the largest shopping malls and
