Key ICCE 2012 Conference Theme:  Cloud Enhanced Consumer Electronics

CO-LOCATED WITH THE INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW
THE 30TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CONSUMER ELECTRONICS 2012 
 

 

LAS VEGAS––The IEEE’s International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE) is is focusing on cloud-connected consumer electronics devices for ICCE 2012. Now in its 30th year, The ICCE is starting on Friday, the last day of the 2012 CES show, for the first time.
 

 

ICCE is the world’s leading Consumer Electronics Conference and has a long history with many of the industry’s leading researchers participating and sharing advances in consumer technologies and designs. This year, papers relating to Cloud Enhanced Consumer Electronics Devices and Services are particularly strong. Topics around this major theme will be content of  special sessions  and tutorials. ICCE 2012 will start and overlap with the final day of CES (Friday).

 

The Friday program will feature our Conference Keynote by Broadcom co-founder Dr. Henry Samueli,and a review of CES by a number of IEEE technical experts followed by a panel discussion, open to all attendees. In addition a number of highly topical invited sessions will be features throughout the day on Friday. A discounted conference rate is available for Friday-only delegates. ICCE 2012 will incorporate 5 parallel conference tracks of Special, Invited and Associated Sessions allowing coverage of even more topics of current interest to the CE professional.

 


Conference keynoters include Dr. Henry Samueli, who co-founded Broadcom Corporation, Friday morning, Dr. Phil McKinley, CTO of Hewlett-Packard, Friday Noon, Hiro Kawamoto (Life Fellow, IEEE) who cared the first ICCE conference 30 years ago speaks Saturday Morning and Dr. Martin Kienzle of IBM, speaking on secure, dependable cloud computing services & benefits Sunday morning.

 


A special session reviewing the CES technologies and trends will be held Friday at lunchtime open to all CES attendees and a panel celebrating 30 years of Consumer Electronics Innovation will be held at Saturday lunch.
